Diane Lawton is a Textile & Mixed Media artist. Her work straddles fine art and craft.  Her Art Degree work had her working with concrete, ceramic tiles, glass, assemblage  of found objects, as well as Textiles, in its many formats.

She stretches her ideas to the limits. With a restless search, her work draws on the beauty hidden in nature, ancient scrolls, archaeological finds, scavenging, old texts, computer waste, Celtic history, Japanese art techniques and rock art petroglyphs.

She is inspired by her Welsh upbringing; her Archaeologist mother who studied early Christian Anglesey; Celtic Art and her lifetime interest in Indian philosophy.

Diane has had her work exhibited in collaborative art shows in Spain where she lived for 22 years. She now lives and works in Llandudno, since May 2023.
